Eric Waley
Eric was educated at Eton College and Cambridge University and has both a BA and an MA in Law.
Eric has practised as a barrister-at-law since qualifying. He went to Hong Kong for 10 years in the 1980s, working for the Hong Kong government. While there he enjoyed the cultural life, particularly the performing arts and music. Eric’s interest in these areas started during his Cambridge University days where he joined Footlights and was actively involved with a group of now well-known directors, actors and actresses of the modern British theatre, film and TV industry. Eric has played the saxophone since school and performed regularly in bands until his professional life became too demanding. Eric’s rich academic background, varied work and life experience from his legal career, understanding of, and interest in, the Chinese and Far East Asia all make him an excellent coach for our career coaching programme.
